This Navigator Research report covers perceptions of President Trump and his recent actions, including construction of a $1 billion ballroom, putting his face on a $250 bill and passports, proposing a DOJ slush fund, and more.

Big Takeaways:

President Trump’s $1 billion ballroom, golden statue of himself, $250 bill with his face, and DOJ slush fund all deeply concern Americans.

Americans are convinced that President Trump is not focused on the right priorities that help people’s everyday lives.

The most concerning messages around Trump’s recent actions focus on his waste of taxpayer dollars, the negative impact of his policies on American families, and his blatant corruption.

Trump’s Wasteful Spending on Things like the Ballroom Concerns Americans

Despite promises to immediately lower costs for Americans, President Trump has spent an enormous amount of time and resources on White House renovations and self-aggrandizing projects. Two-in-three Americans oppose Trump tearing down the East Wing of the White House and requesting $1 billion in taxpayer dollars for a new White House ballroom (66%).
