Consistent Majorities Approve of Biden’s Handling Of His Job as President, the Pandemic, and the Economy

Over the last two months, President Biden has maintained double-digit net approval ratings on his overall job handling (+13 in our latest survey), the pandemic (+28), and the economy (+10).

Vaccination Rates Climb as Approval Remains High

More than nine in ten Americans now know someone who has been vaccinated, with nearly half reporting having personally gotten the jab; seven in ten also approve of the vaccine rollout, up 31 points since February 1st.

Democrats Are Getting Vaccinated At Highest Rates; More Than One in Three Republicans Unlikely To Get Vaccine

In early March, there was a 5-point difference in the share of Democrats (20%) reporting having been vaccinated compared to Republicans (15%); that has expanded to 17 points (54% of Democrats compared to 37% of Republicans).

  • The share of independents vaccinated or likely to get one has increased from 48% in early March to 63% now.

Despite Nearly Half of Americans Reporting Being Vaccinated, Most Agree We Should Keep Social Distancing and Masking

Three in five independents (59%) continue to say “we shouldn’t put our guards down now.”

Americans Continue to See Biden’s Policies As Having a Positive Impact on the Pandemic

Among independents, 61% say Biden’s policies have had a positive impact, as do 37% of Republicans.
